Totally agree, Christina!

I'm using Firefox and its spellchecker is great, but American dictionary doesn't always help - sometimes it's really hard to concentrate typing the words the way you're used to and having browser highlight them as misspellings.

Have a nice long weekend!

I use Google all the time for english spelling help - but people should remember the spell check at Google can be very US-centric. Watch our for 'color' for instance ;)

Hi John!

I was referring to English in my post, so mostly you would depend on the first tip, where Google suggests a correct spelling.

I wonder if it's possible to find words which are spelled incorrectly by the majority of English-speaking community?

Don't know why, but I never use Google for searches in other languages, so I really don't know. Thanks for the warning though, I'll update the post accordingly.

Spell-checking based on search engine results is an extermely bad idea. At least for some languages. For example, some Russian words are written incorrectly by the majority of the Russian-speaking population, so based on search engine word counts you'll learn incorrect spelling.
