Sorry, I forgot you're in Ireland. NPR - American National Public Radio - just finished their pledge drive for the fall. Ira Glass has a show called <b>This American Life</b>, but during the pledge drives he always does some kind of segment where he says something to the effect of "Look. You are listening to a pledge drive. That says you're a die-hard public radio fan. Don't you think you should be helping support it." Your last couple of paragraphs reminded me of him.
