LOL! I’m thinking about the same things over and over. Didn’t make a final conslusion yet though.

I’m pretty sure of one thing: love based on attractivity is very powerful but extremely short lived. So, to make it last longer both partners should become more than just lovers, but also friends and something more…

Just like Exupery said: “Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.” It’s really hard to understand this, though.

I’m not sure if I follow through everything you have just written but there’s one thing I can certainly relate to. That is, to love others, one must first learn to love oneself. Whatever we have done in the past, we must learn to accept ourselves and love ourselves. Otherwise, how will we be able to give and devote all of ourselves to others?
