Book Review: When Money Talks, Listen!

January 21, 2008 by Gleb Reys · 4 Comments

When Money Talks, Listen!

I’ve recently read a wonderful book about money. Rich Ezzo has managed to surprise me in many ways, starting with the fact that the book isn’t about affiliate marketing or get-rick-quick schemes.

In our world of instant information delivery and hundreds of self-proclaimed monetization geniuses, this book was the least expected kind of a guide: a wonderful tale explaining what basic habits you should develop to ensure not only that you attract money into your life, but also truly appreciate every moment of your financial freedom.

I absolutely loved the five lessons given by the very easy-flowing story of this book, and I can relate to every one of them.

3 Rules to Help You Fight Procrastination

January 16, 2008 by Gleb Reys · 17 Comments

Goal Setting Success

Procrastination is one of the processes in our lives which you can safely call natural: long before you learn this word in English (or your native language), you’re already procrastinating on a regular basis. You don’t have to learn anything to become a true master of procrastination, but once you acknowledge it as an unwanted gift, it takes great discipline and advanced tactics to successfully fight it.

Today I would like to share with you 3 simple rules. Like many other things, their real power is in their simplicity. It’s very easy to remember these rules, and just as easy to follow. Try them for a few days when approaching any task or project of yours, play by these rules as if they were some kind of a game, and see for yourself how your productivity will improve.

A Lesson in Greatness from Zen Habits

January 12, 2008 by Gleb Reys · 2 Comments

Zen Habits

Leo Babauta from Zen Habits hase once again proved to be one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever had the privilege of reading. He has lifted all the copyrights from his posts and his recent e-book, Zen To Done (buy it here) and wrote about this in his recent post: Open Source Blogging: Feel Free to Steal my Content.

It’s a brave move, and one with quite a few cons which would seem obvious to any seasoned blogger: people can steal his every article and repost it without giving Leo any credit for it, such reposting will likely hurt his website’s rankings in search engines and search results. Someone could reprint his book and never even mention him, let alone pay him for his wonderful writing.

3 Ways To Be Happy Here And Now

January 7, 2008 by Gleb Reys · 24 Comments

Happiness

Who doesn’t want to be happy? We all do. This doesn’t mean we all are happy though, and one of the reasons for this is because we’re not used to being happy in the present, instead living with hopes to be really happy some time in the future.

No matter how healthy, good looking, successful and rich you are, you still feel the need to push a bit harder, postpone your happiness by a bit more, just to be really happy some other day. This being a human nature, we keep pushing our happy days forward again and again, as if our time in this life has no limits. Well, it does. And before it’s too late, take time to be happy right here and right now.
